Called as children
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of bondage, which leads to fear, but a spirit of adoption, where you cry, ‘Abba, Father!’
The Holy Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if so, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if we have suffered that we may also be glorified with him. We must all share in it. I believe that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.

Called to be a friend
My commandment is this: Love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.
No longer will I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I call you friends, for everything I heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Called to be a bride
Let us rejoice and rejoice and give him glory. The marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready. It was given to her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and clean, which are the righteous deeds of the saints.
The angel said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been invited to the wedding table of the Lamb.’” And he said to me, “This is the true word of God.”
